The goal of the Battle Lake Lions Club and Lions
Clubs International Foundation was to build a new home for a disabled
person in new housing adapted to his/her needs. Below shows the
placement of the sign designating this project part of the LCIF funding
program to build such housing. From the left are then Lion Past
President Ken Worden, Lion President Jon Tamke, and Fergus Falls Area
Habitat for Humanity director Craig Molstad.

Battle Lake Lions Club members work on the
kitchen
and bathroom cabinets. After the materials were delivered to the shop,
the Lions volunteers sanded, sprayed and assembled them. Seven Lions
members
donated the labor.
A Lions' member also donated the
use of his shop,
shop
materials and tools. In two days the cabinets were ready and delivered
to the house site for installation when the interior painting is done.
Cabinet materials were paid from the LCIF grant.
