MISSION STATEMENT

The BATTLE LAKE LIONS CLUB shall
strive to meet the
Objects
of Lions Clubs International:
- TO CREATE and foster a spirit of understanding
among the
peoples of the world
- TO PROMOTE the principles of good government
and
good citizenship
- TO TAKE an active interest in the civic,
cultural,
social
and moral welfare of the community
- TO UNITE the clubs in the bonds of friendship,
good
fellowship
and mutual understanding
- TO PROVIDE a forum for the open discussion all
matters of
public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and
sectarian
religion shall not be debated by club members
- TO ENCOURAGE service-minded people to serve
their
community
without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and
promote
high ethical standard in commerce, industry, professions, public works
and private endeavors
The CLUB will focus its attention on community based
projects which will impact the Battle Lake area by raising money,
providing
in-kind labor and material, and by scheduling, hosting, and promoting
activities
which will benefit the community.
The CLUB will also seek
to be a good community
citizen
in its actions and programs. The net proceeds of all fundraising
from the public will be donated back to charity and community based
projects
in accordance with the guidelines of Lions International.
The CLUB will strive to provide general meetings that keep members
informed about Lionism, the state of the Club and provide programs that
will inform and motivate members in accordance with the Objects of
Lions Clubs International.
